Our new Reports Engineering team is looking for a hands-on Software development manager who has proven leadership ability with very strong Java skills. You will be a key part of a culture where issues are debated as a healthy part of reaching a team agreement on how to move forward. There are no winners or losers; only great solutions.

 

Our Mission

We are building next generation Reports engine to support our growing demand of reporting and business intelligence. You will be joining new Reports Engineering team where everyone is up to speed and has areas of specialization.

 

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced manager to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to contribute to the code base, lead a group of talented developers, have great communication, desire to own and improve enterprise software solutions, and manage customer escalations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical hands on manager to contribute to design, production code, and code reviews
  • Be a strong advocate for an excellent customer experience by being proactive in assessing escalations, and working with the team to respond appropriately
  • Work closely with Product Management to deliver better solutions and determine release scope
  • Mentor team members for career growth and personal development
  • Attract, hire and maintain a team of talented engineers
  • Strong advocate for development process, and culture of continuous improvement.
  • Build productive relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization and keep them informed throughout the development cycle
  • Ensure projects are planned, estimated, scheduled and delivered on-time with high quality
  • Hold yourself and others accountable for understanding and consistently practicing our values

 

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of managing teams within a development organization
  • Minimum of 10 years experience with Java or C# (Java preferred)
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and communicate across organizational boundaries
  • Passion for software development and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to build strong relationships with diverse teams within an organization
  • Attention to detail and deep understanding of engineering best practices
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Experience deploying mission-critical, 24×7 solutions in a SaaS environment
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
